It is October 2009
I am preparing to enter a new direction with my art work and Gallery. Exactly which direction I will head is my biggest problem right now. Only time will tell.....

  1. We have had the flu bug at our house for about a week now. I have cabin fever but not a physical temperature so that's good. Don't have much energy to paint but have drawn the cat laying around the house. She does find some interesting positions. Only if we had the same flexibility!

  2. Being a Mom is the hardest job in the world. You are never quite sure if what you do as a parent is right or wrong. We love our children unconditionally and worry to exccess for their safety and happiness no matter how old they get. All we want is what is best for them. Sometimes getting to that point is very difficult to say the least! We all have bumps and or mountains to get over and we want to help them do it without getting hurt too bad so when they turn on you one day and say you are my most upsetting problem, what do you do? You can't stop being their parent and loving them, so like any mountain you hang on and keep climbing.Thats what you do. Maybe you paint these emotions into your next painting. That is what art is sometimes , emotional pictures.

  3. Today is not unlike most days for me going on 24 years of chronic pain I am starting my day slowly. I have hope that the kinks will get worked out as time goes by and I'll feel good enough to move, dance, paint. Other than teaching classes I have not painted in this home of almost 3 years. I have painted outside/ plein air and done each assignment to demonstrate to my classes over the last 2 1/2 years. I have cut odd size mattes especially for my Multnomah Falls print a favorite of many friends and family. My art studio is not right for being creative or productive. It is set up more apropprietly for organized storage of prints info supplies and more supplies. I usually use the kitchen table so maybe today I will find a place to paint. The south facing coatroom although narrow is full of sunlight and view of Oregon's fall madness. Hmmm that's an intrieging possibility....... I'll let you know tomorrow weather or not anything came to fruition. I did however enter a colored pencil sketch into the Hillsboro's Farmers Market competion for their 2009 winter poster. I think it was too spring or summer looking for a winter farmers market poster myself so I will be surprised if they choose it. But hey it is $150.00. I can always spend that, and sometimes what I hate others love!!!!
